Don't let people invade your Privacy and Infect your PC!
If you live in a high crime neighborhood
and you have valuable possessions you take out home contents insurance
– Right?
So why do most computer users with ‘high value’ content including job details, perhaps sensitive financial information and even family details – leave this information on a ‘dinner plate’ for some computer hack to come along and pick and choose what elements of your ‘privacy’ THEY WANT!
It’s a bit like screaming ‘Fire’ once the home is burnt down!
If your PC has been ‘invaded’ it’s too late – it’s a ‘damage limitation’ exercise and a real ‘ p…d off’ feeling like you’ve been burgled. After all, you don’t know what sensitive information they’ve accessed!
So What do I look out for?
- Your computer is noticeably slower
- Your Homepage keeps changing
- Pop Up ads keep coming up
These are the most common ‘symptoms' (but by no means exclusive)..
-
Ok so what more can these ‘gremlins' do – try this for ‘scary
reading’…
- All information you enter via the web can be intercepted
- Unauthorized sites can add themselves to your desktop (icons)
- Unauthorized sites can add themselves to your internet favorites
- Your browsing activity can be tracked and monitored
- Your personal information can be sold to other parties without your knowledge or consent
How does this happen?
Spyware including Trojans have devious ways of attaching themselves to your PC. It can happen by downloading an E-card for a friend and before you know it malware is in your PC. This is even more 'troublesome' if it's got into your System files! This can happen from something as small as simply installing a game, or updating an existing program.
Sometimes - you can literally think that you are doing nothing wrong - just using your computer 'normally' and you then start getting freezes, crashes, error messages, programs not working, and so on... Then you know You have a Problem!
If the problem is simply ignored or "put up with", it only continually gets worse because the PC's Performance is being Hi-Jacked by the Spyware.
Often just restarting your PC will fix most problems but a 'spyware invasion' is something you won't cure with a simple switching on/off of your PC. Nope - nor will an anti-virus 'only' program- you’ve probably tried that anyway and it hasn’t worked – right?
Most anti-virus software will not identify Trojans and some even ignore annoying adware. Dedicated Spyware 'looks' for these files/programs in the PC - identifies them and isolates them for YOU to decide which files should go! (Not all adware is Bad - in fact you may have requested some of these files previously- hence the option to choose whether to delete or not- when it's gone, it's gone!)
How do I get rid of the Spyware safely?
Unfortunately, for most people - this can cost hundreds of dollars for a PC repair job - either by a store, or by a technician.
You can, within minutes 'secure' your PC and secure it from attack with XoftSpy SE.
The scan is free and it only takes a few seconds to list the 'baddies' lurking in there. The ‘fix’ usually takes no more than a few minutes and you'll be amazed at how much has been wrong with your system...
